Nestling in the jade green Himalayan Mountains, amidst the juniper trees, mountain peaks and floating clouds is the most beautiful hermitage of Lawudo. For disciples and students of Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche there are few places on this earth that hold as much significance and meaning as Lawudo. Situated high in the Himalayan mountains in the area known as Solu Khumbu, the Sherpa region of eastern Nepal, Lawudo nestles against the side of the mountain like a beacon for all who seek an authentic, blessed and naturally mystical place. Known as the Cave of Blissful Attainments, it is one of the many sacred places of this region. Discovered by the previous Lawudo Lama Kunsang Yeshe and empowered by the blessings of a life time of pure Dharma practice, it is the original home of the incomparably kind Guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche. Just seeing the place blesses and transforms the most hardened of hearts and minds to think only of Dharma in ones life.
