Tamakwa Experiences specializes in unique;stress-free camp weddings;retreats;outdoor experiential school education;and niche group escapes all hosted at beautiful Camp Tamakwa on South Tea Lake in Algonquin Park. Located 2.5 hours north of Toronto;we provide a natural setting for people to unplug;reconnect with each other;and escape the busyness that technology brings into our daily lives. Unlike a traditional event venue;every experience we create is inspired by the beauty and spirit of our setting in Algonquin Park. Led by our creative muse;Diane Bald;former Roots Design Director;the camp aesthetic is a mix of rugged and refined;vintage and contemporary;and is all inspired by the natural surroundings. Our rustic comfortable wood cabins each have their own unique features;many with camper-style bunk beds and shared washroom facilities. We do not have AC or 500 thread count sheets;but we do have priceless views of South Tea Lake and the authentic sounds of nature in Algonquin Park…and an experience you will not find anywhere else in the world.
